The Hatteras 36 Sport Fisherman is a heavy boat for her size, a fact that doubtless accounts for her sedate performance. Hull construction is solid fiberglass with Balsa coring applied in the deck and superstructure. The 36 SF runs on a Jim Wynne Designed Hull with recessed propeller pockets below for reduced shaft angles, the same hull used in the production of the Hatteras 36 Convertible (1983-87).
Three steps down into the cabin reveals a practical layout with stylish fabrics, attractive high-pressure plastic laminates, and teak trim. There are berths for four (with the dinette converted), a full galley, and a separate stall shower in the head compartment.
Not only is this interior completely modern and appealing,
but it's also easy to clean as well. Her bi-level cockpit
layout is well-suited for serious deep-water fishing
and came standard with cockpit bolsters, rod holders,
transom door, and a built-in fish box. Other features
include; wide walk-around side decks, bow pulpit, an
elevated helm position, a wraparound windshield, and
easy cockpit access to the engines.
Hatteras is a solid fishing platform great for offshore fishing as well as family cruising. She will sleep four and becomes a good weekend boat.
