The Westsail
42 is a legendary design by world famous offshore yacht
designer Bill Crealock as his ideal world cruiser. A very
successful and respected vessel. These boats are exceedingly
well made and are among the most seaworthy types ever
built.
Sisterships have proven themselves in every ocean, have
visited every continent and have countless circumnavigations
to their credit. If you are seeking a super safe and ultra
high quality offshore cruising sailboat in which to explore
the world, you have just found her. |
This Westsail 42 is suffering
from several years of neglect. She was hauled and prepped
for work with the intention of relaunch for serious sailing.
Unfortunately, she has sat on land with service now for
8 years. The hull and mast look solid. The engine was
pickled for long term storage and has been turned from
time to time. The deck appears sound with no noticed soft
spots. The interior cabin has several leaks and many areas
of cosmetic concern. She is a strong hull that will make
the right offshore sailor a great project.

prior bidding. It is entirely the buyer's responsibility
to inspect and determine the vessel's actual condition.
