catamaran that has come to be seen as a benchmark is no

| It is reported
that the vessel was secured in a British Virgin Islands
Marina prior to the passage of Hurricane Irma. The vessel
was exposed to hurricane force winds, flying debris, storm
surge and tropical rain.
These conditions caused the vessel to sustain structural
and cosmetic damages. These include but not limited to:
Penetration damages to the starboard transom and adjacent
topsides, with engine compartment flooded and damaged.
Port transom has moderate crushing and cracking damages.
The engine compartment had about 6” of water in it at
the time of inspection. The port push pit is dislodged
from its mounts and there is approximately a 3’ x 2’ hole
at the hull to deck join with cracking running forward
and inboard. Port aft corner of the cockpit hardtop has
contact/crush damage of approximately 3’ x 2’. Moderate
crashing damage approximately 1’ x 2’ on port hull to
deck join, aft of the chain plate. Port bow stem has a
hole of approximately 2’ x 3’. Heavy scratching, gouging
on both port and starboard topsides. The starboard hull
was probably flooded to the sole level; port forward house
curved window is broken.
Due to the heavy damage to the transoms it is suspected
that there was water ingress into the hull sandwich balsa
core material. Life rails and stanchions were damaged.
The mast has been severely stressed along with the standing
rigging. The teak in the cockpit floor will need repairs.
The starboard side gunwale, at about mid ships, has been
set-in and the port hull bow stem is holed. The upper part
of the port side outside hull is heavily set-in and partly
holed. The port aft corner of the hardtop is crushed and
The starboard engine was totally submerged and the port
engine may have been exposed to saltwater.
Please inspect carefully before making an offer.
