General
Description
The
enormous storage and large
tank capacities make this boat well-suited for liveaboards
or extensive cruising. The raised salon and large strong
ports make this light and airy boats.
Actual Condition
The
boat was underway when owners smelled smoke. Smoke and
flames were seen coming from under the settee in the
salon. Local fire department put out the fire using
large volumes of sea water.The fire might have been
caused by a loose battery connection.
Damage includes blistering of the fiberglass above the
waterline on the port side of the hull, structural damage
to the balsa cored cabin top. The entire interior of
the vessel has heat and smoke damage. AC and DC electrical
wiring below the cabin sole and much of the wiring above
the sole have been damaged by the use of seawater to
put out the fire and needs to be replaced.
All electronics
and associated components were also destroyed in the
fire.
The lower section of the mast in the salon is discolored
from the fire.
