August
2010 the yacht was next to another yacht that caught
fire and the flames scorched the starboard side of the
Summer Star.
There is damage to Starboard side from Gunnels down,
and from the Stern to ¾ forward to the Bow. The
side is blistered in many areas and will need repair
and repainting. Damaged are the following, they will
need replacement, paint and bedding, inside and out;
Including four small vents 8" X 11" wide,
Two large engine room vents, 40 wide by 11" high,
Two Engine vent drains 1-1/2" high by 4" wide,
Four of the five opening ports with screens and one
additional screen need to be replaced.
Gunnels
and above, throughout the entire Black area from Stern
forward will need repair and paint. It is very heavily
blistered. The window frames have been compromised-all
have the rubbers damaged, some have glass missing.
Teak
the entire Starboard side will need refinishing as the
rest of the yacht was just done.
The Starboard
Bridge windshield was damaged.
The
adapter canvas work that matched the Bridge Hardtop
to the Arch was damaged.
The
Bridge cushions, rear Starboard side were damaged.
The
Bridge Hardtop is damged along the Starboard edge.
The
anchor light lens is damaged.
Several
antennas are burnt and or burnt and split.
The
rope lighting around the bridge is compromised.
The
Starboard outer upper Bridge is damaged the entire length.
Some areas are split, some burnt some blistered. All
the gold striping and the black accent stripes on starboard's
side are burnt off.
Starboard
light along with its wiring is burnt.
Starboard
Name Board is burnt and will need to be replaced to
match the port Name Board.
Arch
will need refinishing.
The
overhang on the Starboard side is split almost the entire
length, and will need to be repaired and refinished.
THIS YACHT IS ONE OF ONLY A FEW WITH A HARD TOP ENCLOSURE.

Description
Master
Stateroom: Walk around king
berth, curtains extend around the room, cedar
lined walk in closet, high gloss white finish, custom
valances highlighted w/valance lights, starboard and
port side lined with drawers.
Head:
Large head in Master Stateroom with shower and Jacuzzi
Tub.
VIP Stateroom: Queen berth,
large en suite head to starboard, ample storage, cedar
lined closet, generous drawer space.
Guest Stateroom: Lower
twin berth, day head located across the hallway,
shower, hanging locker, cedar lined hanging closet,
day head.
Main Salon: Full wet bar
with sink, new carpeting in 2006, 6 person round or
square conversion table, 6 matching weighted chairs,
glass coffee table.
Crews Quarters: Upper and lower berths starboard
side forward, enclosed head and
shower port side, drawers and cabinets, cedar
lined closet. Private head to port.
Galley/Dinette/Laundry: Granite
counter tops, Whirlpool dishwasher, Whirlpool
microwave oven, GE 4 burner electric stove top, Convection
oven, ISE garbage disposal, GE refrigerator w/freezer,
washer and dryer starboard area below.
FLYBRIDGE: THIS IS ONE
OF VERY FEW WITH A HARD TOP ENCLOSURE.
The flybridge helm station is fully
equipped with all navigational, electronic and
communication equipment. Most of the equipment is stand
alone, while a few pieces are remote. Large helm seating
with cushion, under the dash is a large storage area
for life preservers and miscellaneous safety items.
Aft of the helm area is a beverage service area with
3 stools in the center of the bridge. To the rear of
the bridge are large U-settees with storage underneath.
The electronics antennas were damaged by fire.
The full width hard top with radar arch (ONE
OF VERY FEW WITH A HARD TOP ENCLOSURE),
covers the beverage service area and helm area while
the settee is open to the sun. Aft
of the seating area is an area for an on deck tender.
The tender is launched by a hydraulic davit. Also, there
is a set of PWC chalks.
Aft and stbd. is the 8 man Givens Buoy life raft. At
the bridge helm station is, a Wesmar bow thruster control
and Wesmar remote bow thruster control, Furuno NAV-NET
with Radar package, Panasonic PBS Phone System, Rudder
angle indicator, Dual no strike lightning system, ICOM
IC-M602 VHF, Depth Finder (remote) "Furuno RD 30",
Spotlight w/controls, Hatteras system monitor, 6"
compass "Ritchie", EPIRB.
The electronics antennas were damaged by fire.
Navigation Station: Lower

Electrical Systems: 220/240V AC Electrical system,
2 Generators: 21KW BMZ Marine
Diesel Generator Sets w/ Isuzu engines and full
sound shield packages; compact & lightweight, easy
starting-electrically, control box w/fused DC control,
long life, smooth running brushless generator, Auto
shutdown for high water temp-Low oil pressure, Cupro
nickel heat exchanger, engine mounted start and stop
panel, vibration isolator mounts, s/s drip pan, s/s
fresh water-cold manifold and sound enclosure 62dBA.
Generator sets have their own battery and charging system,
4- Batteries w/parallel switch for House and Engine
room, Dolphin Automatic smart battery charger, Dockside
electrical cables, 24V DC electrical system.
Deck: Swim Ladder and,
Swim Platform new 2005, 30 plus life jackets/life rings,
Hard Top new 2005, Enclosure new 2006 was damaged by
the fire and will need repair, Freshwater wash down
system, Saltwater wash down, Bow pulpit w/rails, Windshield
washer and wipers, Galley Maid electrical windlass with
Chrome Anchor w/300' chain, Fenders with lines, Coast
Guard safety package, Electric controlled search light,
Navigation light, Electric dinghy davit, Hull is finished
with "ALGRIP 2000", during 2006 and 2007.
Aft Deck: Spacious aft teak
deck with spiral stairway to swim platform. Extended
overhang for shade. We have enough honey comb product
to convert this ti a hardtop which could be encloused.
Engine and Generator Room: Cruisair
and Marine-Air reverse cycle A/C, Lube Oil transfer
system, fresh water cooling system, Niad stabilizers,
Hynautic hydraulic wheel steering pressure tanks, holding
tank head, 500 gallon/day HRO watermaker (needs membrains),
engine room blowers, fuel shut off valve and fuel tank
controls, "Kidde" CO-2 automatic/manuel fire
extinguisher, engine synchronizers, Bennett trim tabs,
engine temperature alarm, 4 "Racor" fuel filters,
Automatic bilge pump, 30 gallon water heater.
The engine rooms are accessed through the VIP room or
the salon staircase. The stbd. main engine was completely
rebuilt in 2006 and upgraded with the latest parts available
at approx. 4,000 hrs. Port actual hrs since rebuild
unknown but fully serviced at 4,000 hrs. ( blower, intercooler,
heat exchangers, turbos, and etc. were removed and cleaned
and/or rebuilt).Air-seps, new S/S risers, spin on fuel
filters, Racor fuel filter system, F/W Craftsman pump
system, mechanical engine gauge panels and Galley Maid
head unit. The forward generator compartment is accessed
through the hallway hatch outside the day head. Located
here is the 2-21 KW BMZ generators, air compressor,
power transformers, 12V DC battery and charger, 7-AC
compressors, and a WESMAR 48V battery pack with charger
for bow thruster. Heating system equipment is also located
in this area.
Other Features: Mar-Quip 7 Step Boarding Ladder
w/2 Hand Rails, new carpet throughout
with "Soundown" sound padding in 2006.
Matching "Lenox" towels with "Summer
Star" monograms in 2006.
The carpet needs some replacement and/or cleaning.
This yacht was a 65' Hatteras with a 9' storage and
deck extensions which made the "Summer Star"
74'. In 2006. An integral swim platform was added which
is easily accessed from a spiral stairway installed
aft and port, matching the one forward in the pilot
house to the bridge. This brings the "Summer Star
"to a 77' body length and 80' overall with pulpit.
Summer Star is documented as 74'.
The aft storage area has a food freezer, a "Bruer
Kompressoren" dive tank compressor, a 20 gal. stainless
water heater new 2006, spare anchors, lines, chain,
trim tab pump and spare props (a pair of 37 x 37 x 3")
props 36 x 36 x 3" shaft are now on the boat.
Installed in 2006, 4 (four) "Advanced Marine Underwater
Lighting" "Model MUL3" w/100W Halogen
light with the new 5200 K-Filter lens. Watch the fish
play.

on board. Prospective purchsers should assume that any
items not specifically mentioned herein will not convey
at closing.
As all yachts of its age, there willl be some minor
sytems that need attention.
